The traditional gift for four year anniversaries are flowers or silk. So for the fourth anniversary of TYPEFORCE, an annual showcase of emerging typographic artists in Chicago, Tricia Chamberlain and I created a big honkin’ number 4 made completely out of flowers—the fake, silk kind. We were lucky enough to be able to showcase our work in the front window at Co-Prosperity Sphere in Bridgeport for the event.

Other than transporting it to the event space, the most challenging aspect was figuring out how to get it through that tiny door in the wall!
